Job Requirements
- Applicants must be at least 18 years of age
- Must hold a valid Oklahoma State Department of Health Paramedic licensure
- Must have National Registry Paramedic registration
- Must possess a valid driver license (operator)
- Must be able to work part-time/year-round with no more than 29 hours per week if applicable
- Must complete application questions fully and accurately
- Must be willing to undergo background investigation, drug testing, and physical examination upon conditional offer
- Must comply with the City of Oklahoma City’s Drug and Alcohol Testing Policy as the position is safety sensitive
- Must be eligible for rehire if a former employee
Job Qualifications
- Possession of an Oklahoma State Department of Health Paramedic licensure
- Possession of National Registry Paramedic registration
- Valid driver license (operator)
- Effective communication skills
- Ability to think critically and make quick decisions in emergency situations
- Experience working with healthcare professionals and public safety agencies
Job Duties
- Provide basic and advanced medical care to patients in the field
- Operate ambulance vehicles safely and efficiently during patient transport
- Follow established medical protocols and department guidelines
- Maintain ambulance readiness and proper inventory of medical supplies
- Complete accurate and timely documentation of patient care and incidents
- Report and communicate any equipment malfunctions or safety concerns
- Participate in ongoing training, fire station duties, and collaborative work with public safety agencies
