Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Certified EMT-Paramedic
- At least one year of experience in EMT or emergency services
- Valid certifications for Advanced Cardiac Life Support, Basic Cardiac Life Support, and Pediatric Advanced Life Support within 30 days of employment
- Ability to perform psychomotor skills
- Capacity to document patient information accurately and timely
- Capability to respond to emergency situations
Job Qualifications
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification obtained within 30 days of employment
- Basic Cardiac Life Support certification obtained within 30 days of employment
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification obtained within 30 days of employment
- Completion of technical or vocational training
- Certified Emergency Medical Technician-Paramedic (EMT-Paramedic)
- One year experience as an EMT or related emergency service professional
Job Duties
- Perform direct patient care as assigned by the registered nurse and report observations, results of procedures, and patient needs to appropriate personnel
- Perform psychomotor skills outlined during educational training and orientation
- Maintain responsibility for cleaning, stocking, and organizing storage areas
- Document pertinent patient data promptly and accurately
- Demonstrate the ability to respond to emergency procedures
- Support the function and efficiency of the medical unit by assisting nursing and medical staff
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies and safety regulations
