Job Requirements
- basic cardiac life support required
- paramedic (EMT-P) or emergency medical paramedic (EMP) required
- 1 year of 911 system or hospital ED experience required
- advanced cardiac life support, or ACLS instructor must be obtained within 6 months of employment start date
- PALS pediatric adv life supt, or PALS instructor must be obtained within 6 months of employment start date

Job Duties
- assist with obtaining and documenting vital signs and placement of oxygen saturation, cardiac monitoring, and non-invasive blood pressure monitoring systems
- assist with obtaining 12-lead EKGs, discontinuation of peripheral IV and heparin/saline locks and maintenance and care of specimens for laboratory analysis
- assist with patient care and treatments including positioning patients, application of sterile dressings, immobilization of extremities, cast and splint applications
- complete basic psychomotor skills and activities related to care
- assist with wound care, insertion of Foley catheters and nasogastric tubes
- clean and stock carts, rooms, and change linen as required
- provide written instructions and/or educational materials to patients and family members
