Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Arizona certified emergency paramedic (AZ CEP)
  • American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification within six months of hire
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification within six months of hire
  • Ability to maintain a safe environment following OSHA and universal precautions standards
  • Effective communication skills with patients and families
  • Ability to perform or assist activities of daily living and patient care procedures

Job Qualifications

  • Arizona certified emergency paramedic (AZ CEP)
  • American Heart Association certifications including BLS, ACLS within six months of hire, PALS within six months of hire
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Direct patient care experience preferred
  • National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians - Paramedic (NREMT-P) preferred
  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program Provider (NRP) preferred

Job Duties

  • Performs or assists activities of daily living according to the patient plan of care
  • Performs or assists in procedures and treatments according to nursing policy and procedure manual
  • Maintains a safe environment by following OSHA requirements including universal precautions
  • Expresses appropriate communication to patients, families, and other customers
  • Demonstrates skills and knowledge necessary for patient care appropriate to neonate, child, adolescent, adult, and older adult
