Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Arizona certified emergency paramedic (AZ CEP)
- American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification within six months of hire
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification within six months of hire
- Ability to maintain a safe environment following OSHA and universal precautions standards
- Effective communication skills with patients and families
- Ability to perform or assist activities of daily living and patient care procedures
Job Qualifications
- Arizona certified emergency paramedic (AZ CEP)
- American Heart Association certifications including BLS, ACLS within six months of hire, PALS within six months of hire
- High school diploma or GED
- Direct patient care experience preferred
- National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians - Paramedic (NREMT-P) preferred
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program Provider (NRP) preferred
Job Duties
- Performs or assists activities of daily living according to the patient plan of care
- Performs or assists in procedures and treatments according to nursing policy and procedure manual
- Maintains a safe environment by following OSHA requirements including universal precautions
- Expresses appropriate communication to patients, families, and other customers
- Demonstrates skills and knowledge necessary for patient care appropriate to neonate, child, adolescent, adult, and older adult
