Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid NJ or PA Paramedic license or National Registry with state reciprocity submission within 45 days
  • One year EMS or pre-hospital emergency experience
  • AHA ACLS certification
  • AHA BLS certification
  • AHA PALS certification
  • Drivers license
  • NJ MICU Paramedic credential
  • PEPP ADV certification
  • ICS 100 training
  • NIMS 700 training
  • HAZMAT awareness training
  • Ability to perform physical demands including lifting up to 125 lbs
  • Annual flu vaccination prior to start date except for medical or religious exemptions

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid NJ or PA Paramedic license or National Registry with state reciprocity submission
  • One year of EMS or pre-hospital emergency experience
  • Certification in AHA ACLS, BLS Healthcare Provider, PALS, PEPP ADV
  • Knowledge of ICS 100, NIMS 700, and HAZMAT awareness
  • Intermediate computer skills
  • Valid driver's license

Job Duties

  • Respond to dispatched emergency assignments expeditiously
  • Maintain a state of readiness to respond to assignments within sixty seconds
  • Assess patient's condition through physical and verbal exams
  • Collect pertinent patient information from multiple sources
  • Document and relay patient medications accurately
  • Perform advanced procedures such as infusion, medication administration, and intubation
  • Conduct continuous cardiac monitoring and other life support interventions
  • Perform rapid clinical assessments and identify life-threatening conditions
  • Recognize changes in patient condition and seek medical consult
  • Follow physician orders and protocols accurately
  • Practice safety in daily activities including vehicle operation
  • Adhere to universal precautions and dispose of sharps properly
  • Precept new employees, students, and observers
  • Perform other duties as assigned
