Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid NJ or PA Paramedic license or National Registry with state reciprocity submission within 45 days
- One year EMS or pre-hospital emergency experience
- AHA ACLS certification
- AHA BLS certification
- AHA PALS certification
- Drivers license
- NJ MICU Paramedic credential
- PEPP ADV certification
- ICS 100 training
- NIMS 700 training
- HAZMAT awareness training
- Ability to perform physical demands including lifting up to 125 lbs
- Annual flu vaccination prior to start date except for medical or religious exemptions
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid NJ or PA Paramedic license or National Registry with state reciprocity submission
- One year of EMS or pre-hospital emergency experience
- Certification in AHA ACLS, BLS Healthcare Provider, PALS, PEPP ADV
- Knowledge of ICS 100, NIMS 700, and HAZMAT awareness
- Intermediate computer skills
- Valid driver's license
Job Duties
- Respond to dispatched emergency assignments expeditiously
- Maintain a state of readiness to respond to assignments within sixty seconds
- Assess patient's condition through physical and verbal exams
- Collect pertinent patient information from multiple sources
- Document and relay patient medications accurately
- Perform advanced procedures such as infusion, medication administration, and intubation
- Conduct continuous cardiac monitoring and other life support interventions
- Perform rapid clinical assessments and identify life-threatening conditions
- Recognize changes in patient condition and seek medical consult
- Follow physician orders and protocols accurately
- Practice safety in daily activities including vehicle operation
- Adhere to universal precautions and dispose of sharps properly
- Precept new employees, students, and observers
- Perform other duties as assigned
