Job Requirements
- high school diploma or GED
- graduate of an EMT-P training course approved under Arizona 9 A.A.C. 25, Articles 2, 4, and 5
- advanced cardiac life support (ACLS) certification
- basic life support (BLS) certification
- pediatric advanced life support (PALS) certification within 180 days
- ADHS paramedic certification or Arizona state certified

Job Duties
- provides and collaborates direct patient care services under supervision
- responsible for personal care and activities of daily living
- monitors vital signs and intake and output
- assists with IV initiation and phlebotomy
- performs eye irrigation and urinary catheterization
- administers medications under licensed personnel supervision
- assists with patient transport and maintains safe environment
- observes and reports changes in patient condition
- documents medical records accurately
- supports patient education under direction of licensed personnel
- addresses questions or concerns from patients and healthcare team
- answers patch phone after training
- performs other duties as assigned
