Job Requirements

  • High school diploma
  • Minimum 3 years as a paramedic
  • Current Texas Paramedic-P, EMT-P, or NREMP-P license
  • BLS within 30 days of hire
  • ACLS & PALS within 90 days of hire
  • Maintain certifications and clinical skills
  • Ability to perform advanced life support and patient transport duties safely and professionally

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma
  • Minimum 3 years as a paramedic
  • Preferred: 5 years of 911 or similar agency with advanced protocol
  • Current Texas Paramedic-P, EMT-P, or NREMP-P license
  • BLS within 30 days of hire, ACLS & PALS within 90 days of hire
  • Preferred: CCP-P or FP-C
  • EMS instructor

Job Duties

  • Advanced patient assessment and monitoring
  • Advanced clinical interventions including but not limited to mechanical ventilation, medication infusions and advanced airway management within the scope of practice
  • Safe and efficient inter/intra-facility transport
  • Clear, consistent and accurate documentation and communication
  • Participation in continuous quality improvement initiatives and continuing education
  • Maintain vehicle readiness through completing daily checks, ensuring cleanliness, and restocking supplies
  • Responsible for completion and submission of electronic patient care record for each dispatched transport within the specified time frame
