Job Requirements

  • Paramedic certification
  • Minimum two years patient-facing experience
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to coach and educate patients and caregivers
  • Familiarity with computer applications and EMR systems
  • Ability to work well on a team
  • Experience with clinical procedures and documentation
  • Ability to work independently under medical supervision
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to drive day and night
  • Physical capability to lift 50 pounds, climb stairs, and work in constrained home environments
  • Ability to travel approximately 10% for business needs

Job Qualifications

  • Paramedic certification (EMT-P)
  • Minimum two years patient-facing experience
  • Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to provide coaching and educational facilitation
  • Familiarity with basic computer applications
  • Ability to work effectively in team settings
  • Experience with comprehensive history gathering and EMR documentation
  • Proficient in procedural skills such as vascular access, medication administration, wound care
  • Ability to communicate clinical presentations effectively
  • Independent functioning with supervision and delegation
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts
  • Valid driver’s license with ability to drive day and night
  • Physical ability to lift 50 pounds and climb stairs
  • Continuous learner with critical thinking skills

Job Duties

  • Drive DispatchHealth branded vehicle to meet patients at their place of need and load/unload supplies for daily activities
  • Don and doff PPE appropriately and maintain strict infection prevention strategies
  • Provide high-acuity in-home acute clinical care for conditions such as infections, heart failure, pneumonia, and post-surgical recovery
  • Conduct thorough physical exams and environmental assessments to ensure patient safety and identify risks
  • Maintain real-time communication with the virtual care team to report findings and receive treatment orders
  • Respond to crisis situations and rapid response alerts within patients’ homes
  • Deliver personalized patient and caregiver education on disease management and treatment plans
  • Document all assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately in the electronic health record
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including physicians, case managers, and social services to ensure care continuity
  • Participate in research, program development, and mentor new staff as assigned
