Job Requirements
- Course completion in a state approved Paramedic training course
- Valid Texas Department of Health Paramedic certification or license
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications
- Minimum 1 year experience as a Paramedic at ALS skill level
- Proven competency in phlebotomy
- Ability to perform multiple clinical procedures as per protocol
- Strong customer service and organizational skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail
Job Qualifications
- Course completion in a state approved Paramedic training course
- Texas Department of Health Paramedic certification or license
- BLS certification
- ACLS certification
- At least 1 year experience as a Paramedic performing ALS skills
- Experience performing phlebotomy, vital signs, ECGs, and laboratory procedures
- Good customer service skills
- Strong documentation and organizational skills
- Ability to work efficiently without errors
- Experience supervising technical or laboratory staff preferred
- Clinical research knowledge preferred
- Associate or Bachelor Degree preferred
Job Duties
- Function as medical coverage in emergency for subjects under Medical Director's standing orders
- Oversee study procedures ensuring protocol and WCT procedure compliance
- Indirectly supervise technical and laboratory staff when supervisor is absent
- Perform phlebotomy at scheduled intervals
- Conduct vital signs monitoring, ECGs, and serve meals/snacks per study protocol
- Collect and process laboratory samples including blood, urine, and other body fluids
- Perform skin testing for allergens, insert IV catheters, perform vein ratings, dispense concomitant medications as directed
- Carry out administrative duties such as copying, filing, and completing case report forms as needed
