Job Requirements
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
- Minimum 2 years EMS experience preferred
- Valid Florida Paramedic license or current NREMT certification if required
- Current CPR certifications (BLS, ACLS, PCC/PALS)
- Valid state driver's license
- Successful background check and drug screening
- Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills
- Proficient verbal and written communication
- Ventilator certification every 3 years
- Successful written and practical exam completion
- FEMA IS certifications
- Ability to lift up to 180 pounds frequently and up to 300 pounds with assistance
- Able to work under pressure and adapt to changing deadlines
- Willingness to attend meetings outside regular hours
- Ability to work in inclement weather and hazardous conditions
- Ability to safely maneuver patients and equipment
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
- Minimum of 2 years of EMS field experience preferred
- Florida Paramedic license in good standing
- Current National Registry certification if applicable
- Current CPR certifications including BLS, ACLS, PCC/PALS
- Valid state-specific driver's license
- Successful completion of comprehensive background check and drug screening
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ventilator certification every three years
- Successful completion of written and practical exams
- FEMA IS certifications (IS-100, IS-200, IS-700, IS-800)
- Previous paramedic or similar medical role experience preferred
- Additional certifications such as AMLS, PHTLS, or ATLS preferred
- Proficiency with medical technology and computer systems
Job Duties
- Conduct patient care from an ambulance
- Supervise day-to-day EMS field operations in the absence of senior management
- Ensure field employees have necessary equipment
- Serve as liaison between field staff and departments such as Training, CQI, Payroll, Human Resources, Billing, and Communication
- Prepare reports related to mechanical breakdowns, accident investigations, exposures, and shift activities
- Ensure compliance with AmeriPro EMS policies, procedures, and patient care protocols
- Assist in evaluating employee performance and maintaining attendance records
- Monitor deployment and efficiency of EMS system and make operational decisions in absence of senior management
- Manage short-term scheduling needs and documentation submission
- Investigate incidents including complaints and accidents
- Lead and provide training for new employees and students
- Respond to scene and coordinate ambulance transport during mass casualty incidents
- Attend planning meetings and perform other duties as assigned
- Safely lift, transfer, and maneuver patients
