Job Requirements
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
- Minimum of 2 years EMS experience preferred
- Valid Florida Paramedic license or current NREMT certification
- Current CPR certifications: BLS, ACLS, PCC/PALS
- Valid state driver's license
- Successful background check and drug screening
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Ventilator certification every 3 years
- Successful completion of written and practical exams
- FEMA IS certifications (IS-100, IS-200, IS-700, IS-800)
- Ability to lift and move up to 180 pounds frequently and up to 300 pounds with assistance
- Ability to work under stress and irregular schedules
- Proficient in English verbal and written communication
- Ability to comply with EMS protocols and procedures
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
- Minimum of 2 years of EMS field experience preferred
- Florida Paramedic license in good standing or current NREMT certification if required
- Current CPR certifications including BLS, ACLS, PCC/PALS
- Valid state-specific driver's license
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ventilator certification every three years
- FEMA IS certifications including IS-100, IS-200, IS-700, IS-800
- Ability to safely lift and move patients
- Proficiency with medical reporting technology and procedures
- Previous experience as a paramedic or similar medical role preferred
- Additional advanced emergency service certifications (AMLS, PHTLS, ATLS) preferred
Job Duties
- Conduct patient care and emergency medical services from an ambulance
- Supervise day-to-day EMS field operations in the absence of senior management
- Ensure compliance with AmeriPro EMS policies, procedures, and patient care protocols
- Serve as liaison with other departments and external agencies
- Prepare reports related to shift activities, incidents, and investigations
- Manage scheduling, staffing, and equipment readiness for EMS teams
- Respond to emergency scenes and coordinate ambulance transport, including mass casualty incidents
