Job Requirements
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
- minimum 2 years EMS experience preferred
- Florida Paramedic license in good standing
- current NREMT certification if required by state
- current CPR certifications including BLS, ACLS, PCC/PALS
- valid state driver's license
- successful background check and drug screening
- strong people skills
- proficient verbal and written English communication
- ventilator certified every three years
- successful completion of written and practical exams
- FEMA IS certifications: IS-100, IS-200, IS-700, IS-800
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent

- strong interpersonal and team collaboration skills

- ventilator certified every three years
- completion of written and practical exams
- FEMA IS certifications including IS-100, IS-200, IS-700, IS-800
- preferred previous paramedic or similar medical role experience
- advanced emergency services training such as AMLS, PHTLS, or ATLS
- technology proficiency
Job Duties
- Conduct patient care from an ambulance
- supervise day-to-day EMS field operations in the absence of senior management
- ensure field employees have required equipment
- serve as liaison between field staff and other departments
- prepare reports on mechanical breakdowns, accidents, exposures, and shift activities
- ensure adherence to policies, procedures, guidelines, and patient care protocols
- monitor deployment and efficiency of the EMS system
- manage short-term scheduling needs
- ensure completion of daily operational duties
- respond to emergency scenes and coordinate ambulance transport during mass casualty incidents
- provide training and guidance to new employees and students
- attend planning meetings
- lift, transfer and maneuver patients safely
