Job Requirements
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
- Minimum 2 years EMS experience preferred
- Florida paramedic license in good standing
- Current NREMT certification if required
- Current CPR certifications BLS, ACLS, PCC/PALS
- Valid state driver’s license
- Successful background check and drug screening
- Strong people skills and ability to collaborate
- Proficient verbal and written English skills
- Ventilator certified every three years
- Successful written and practical exam completion
- FEMA IS certifications IS-100, IS-200, IS-700, IS-800
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in EMS preferred
- Florida Paramedic license in good standing and current NREMT certification if required
- Current CPR certifications including BLS, ACLS, PCC/PALS
- Valid state driver’s license
- Successful background check and drug screening
- Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills
- Proficient verbal and written communication skills in English
- Ventilator certification every three years
- Successful completion of written and practical exams
- FEMA IS certifications (IS-100, IS-200, IS-700, IS-800)
- Previous paramedic or similar medical role experience preferred
- Additional certifications such as AMLS, PHTLS, or ATLS preferred
- Technology proficiency preferred
- Knowledge of emergency medical service methods and protocols
- Ability to interpret medical terminology and local maps
- Demonstrated multitasking and report writing skills
- Ability to use personal computer systems for PCR reporting, email, and MDT applications
- Professional representation of AmeriPro EMS
Job Duties
- Conduct patient care from an ambulance
- Supervise day-to-day field operations in absence of senior management
- Ensure field employees have required equipment
- Serve as liaison between field staff and other departments
- Prepare reports on mechanical breakdowns, accident investigations, and shift activities
- Ensure adherence to policies, procedures, and patient care protocols
- Monitor deployment and efficiency of EMS operations
- Manage short-term scheduling needs
- Deliver and collect necessary paperwork
- Perform daily cleaning and station duties
- Initiate investigations of complaints and accidents
- Complete daily shift reports
- Provide leadership and training to new employees and students
- Respond to mass casualty incidents and coordinate ambulance transport
- Attend regular planning meetings
- Lift, transfer, and maneuver patients safely
