Job Requirements

  • Three years of experience as a Paramedic in an emergency department or emergency pre-hospital setting
  • Demonstrated ability to function in a team environment
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English
  • Basic computer skills
  • High school diploma or GED within one year of hire
  • Graduation from an accredited Paramedic Training Program recognized by the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment
  • Current registered Paramedic with the State of Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification
  • Basic Life Support from the American Heart Association
  • Ability to perform medium work requiring exertion of up to 50 pounds occasionally, 20 pounds frequently, and 10 pounds constantly

Job Duties

  • Provide safe and effective patient care within scope of practice
  • Follow physician orders and established healthcare standards
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to decide patient care interventions
  • Operate under direction of hospital-based Medical Director
  • Ensure quality care for patients and their families
  • Maintain adherence to Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment regulations
  • Communicate effectively within a team environment
