Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED with two years experience or associate's degree or technical degree
- Three years of experience in emergency medical services
- Advanced Life Support certification within six months of hire
- BLS Provider certification within one month of hire
- Neonatal Resuscitation certification within 12 months
- S.T.A.B.L.E. Program certification within 12 months
- Driver's license prior to hire
- Emergency Medical Technician specialized in ER Vehicle Operation credentialed within 12 months
- Paramedic credentialed prior to hire
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support certification within six months
- Certified Prehospital Trauma Life Support within 12 months
- Paramedic specializing in Critical Care credentialed within 24 months (preferred)
- Certified Paramedic specializing in Flight with Flight Paramedic Certification within 24 months (preferred)
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma/GED or associate's degree or technical degree
- Minimum of three years of experience in emergency medical services
- Preferred five years of experience in emergency medical services
- Advanced Life Support certification obtained within six months of hire
- BLS Provider certification obtained within one month of hire
- Neonatal Resuscitation certification from American Academy of Pediatrics within 12 months
- Certification in S.T.A.B.L.E. Program within 12 months
- Emergency Medical Technician specialized in ER Vehicle Operation credentialed from Indiana Department of Homeland Security within 12 months
- Paramedic credentialed from Indiana Department of Homeland Security prior to hire
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support certification within six months
- Certified Prehospital Trauma Life Support obtained within 12 months
- Paramedic specializing in Critical Care credentialed from International Board of Specialty Certification within 24 months (preferred)
- Certified Paramedic specializing in Flight with Flight Paramedic Certification within 24 months (preferred)
Job Duties
- Identify, intervene, and stabilize ill or injured patients during transport
- Initiate and implement interventions based on transport protocols
- Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition and treatment
- Contact receiving medical personnel and follow directives
- Inspect, maintain, and care for transport equipment to ensure safety
- Drive ambulance to transport patients and supplies as required
- Comply with Air Medical Vendor limitations and physical requirements
