Job Requirements
- Current certification/licensure in the State of Texas as a Paramedic
- EMT-P required
- current BLS Healthcare Provider certification
- minimum 2 years of experience as a field Paramedic with an EMS agency and/or clinical experience working in a hospital
- obtain Advanced Cardiac Life Support within 90 days of employment
- obtain Basic Cardiac Life Support within 30 days of employment
- obtain PALS Pediatric Advanced Life Support within 30 days of employment
- ability to work full-time mixed shifts
Job Qualifications
- Current certification/licensure in the State of Texas as a Paramedic
- EMT-P required
- current BLS Healthcare Provider certification
- minimum 2 years of experience as a field Paramedic with an EMS agency and/or clinical experience working in a hospital
- employee completes initial and ongoing training and competencies specific to patient population needs
- advanced cardiac life support certification within 90 days of employment
- basic cardiac life support certification within 30 days of employment
- PALS Pediatric Advanced Life Support certification within 30 days of employment
- emergency medical paramedic (EMP) certification
Job Duties
- Participate in continuous quality improvement projects
- maintain clinical competence
- maintain competence in documentation
- utilize SBAR for communication
- support and represent the facility's mission, vision, and values while performing the role
- attend meetings and in-services as required by departmental policy
