Job Requirements

  • Current certification/licensure in the State of Texas as a Paramedic
  • EMT-P required
  • current BLS Healthcare Provider certification
  • minimum 2 years of experience as a field Paramedic with an EMS agency and/or clinical experience working in a hospital
  • obtain Advanced Cardiac Life Support within 90 days of employment
  • obtain Basic Cardiac Life Support within 30 days of employment
  • obtain PALS Pediatric Advanced Life Support within 30 days of employment
  • ability to work full-time mixed shifts

Job Qualifications

  • Current certification/licensure in the State of Texas as a Paramedic
  • EMT-P required
  • current BLS Healthcare Provider certification
  • minimum 2 years of experience as a field Paramedic with an EMS agency and/or clinical experience working in a hospital
  • employee completes initial and ongoing training and competencies specific to patient population needs
  • advanced cardiac life support certification within 90 days of employment
  • basic cardiac life support certification within 30 days of employment
  • PALS Pediatric Advanced Life Support certification within 30 days of employment
  • emergency medical paramedic (EMP) certification

Job Duties

  • Participate in continuous quality improvement projects
  • maintain clinical competence
  • maintain competence in documentation
  • utilize SBAR for communication
  • support and represent the facility's mission, vision, and values while performing the role
  • attend meetings and in-services as required by departmental policy
