Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Current CA State Paramedic Card
- San Diego County Paramedic Card
- Current CPR certification for healthcare providers
- ACLS certification
- Medical Examiner's Certificate
- Ambulance Driver's License or Certificate
- Completion of ICS 100, 200, 700, 800, and 5-A courses
- Ability to communicate effectively
- Ability to work cooperatively with others

Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Current CA State Paramedic Card
- San Diego County Paramedic Card
- Current American Heart Association CPR for the Healthcare Provider card or American Red Cross CPR Card
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
- Medical Examiner's Certificate (Falck can assist with retrieval)
- Ambulance Driver's License/Certificate (Falck can assist with retrieval)
- ICS 100, 200, 700, 800, and 5-A
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work cooperatively with other employees and medical agencies to provide the highest level of patient care
- Ability to read and interpret all required documents and write required reports and correspondence
- Physical ability to perform all tasks required in typical EMS duties including bending/stooping, pushing, pulling, lifting weights up to 120 lbs, climbing, working at heights, etc.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with ability to work effectively with diverse individuals and teams
- Must consistently deliver outstanding customer service
- Strong organization skills and attention to detail
- Ability to maintain a professional manner and appearance at all times
Job Duties
- Presents himself/herself in a professional manner, in the proper uniform, appropriately groomed, and displays a good public image for the employee and Falck USA in accordance with company policy
- Applies Paramedic skillset and demonstrates proficiency when using all medical equipment including the EKG monitor/defibrillator to provide advanced care to patients
- Partners closely with Fire Department, Police Department, and other public officials to provide the best and safest care possible
- Adheres to the policies and procedures of Falck USA, including the operation’s Standard Operating Procedures and Medical Protocols
- Serves as the main patient care provider on all calls and acts as a leader/mentor to EMT partner on all calls
- Participates and completes all daily assignments proficiently, punctually and in accordance with directives of the Field Supervisor, Division Managers, and other management team members
- Timely completes all appropriate documentation in accordance with company policies and procedures
