Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Current CA State Paramedic Card
- San Diego County Paramedic Card
- Current CPR certification from American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- ACLS certification
- Medical Examiner's Certificate
- Ambulance Driver's License or Certificate
- ICS 100, 200, 700, 800, and 5-A certifications
- Ability to perform physical tasks required of paramedics including lifting 120 lbs
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work cooperatively with medical agencies and team members
- Strong organizational and detail-oriented skills
- Professional appearance and demeanor
- Ability to consistently deliver excellent customer service
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Current CA State Paramedic Card
- San Diego County Paramedic Card
- Current American Heart Association CPR for the Healthcare Provider card or American Red Cross CPR Card
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
- Medical Examiner's Certificate (assistance available)
- Ambulance Driver's License/Certificate (assistance available)
- ICS 100, 200, 700, 800, and 5-A certifications
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work cooperatively with employees and medical agencies
- Ability to read, interpret documents and write reports
- Physical ability to perform EMT duties including lifting up to 120 lbs

Job Duties
- Presents himself/herself in a professional manner in proper uniform and grooming
- Applies paramedic skillset and demonstrates proficiency with medical equipment including EKG monitor/defibrillator
- Partners closely with Fire Department, Police Department, and other officials to provide safe care
- Adheres to Falck USA policies, Standard Operating Procedures, and Medical Protocols
- Serves as main patient care provider and mentor to EMT partner on all calls
- Completes daily assignments punctually and proficiently as directed by supervisors
- Timely completes all required documentation in accordance with company policies
- Provides a safe environment and assesses risks for patients, family members, visitors, and employees
- Responds safely to 911 requests and operates emergency vehicles
- Maintains cleanliness of vehicles and stations exceeding company expectations
- Responds to dispatcher instructions and drives with regard for public safety
- Develops and strives to achieve personal and professional goals
- Maintains medical and communications equipment to applicable standards
- Attends all required training to maintain paramedic licensing
- May serve as team lead to EMTs
- Performs other job-related duties assigned by management
