Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 3 years paramedic experience preferably in 911 system or clinical setting
  • Texas Certified Paramedic credential
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification required
  • Strong knowledge of paramedic clinical procedures
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work extended and varied hours
  • Ability to lift 40 lbs without assistance
  • Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) as required in clinical environment

Job Qualifications

  • High or secondary school diploma or equivalent and relevant formal academic or vocational qualification
  • Preferably 3 years experience as paramedic in 911 system or clinical setting or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
  • Texas Certified Paramedic
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification
  • Strong paramedic skills including airway management, phlebotomy, IV establishment, subcutaneous injections
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with ability to engage professionally with staff, management, and physicians
  • Ability to manage multiple complex tasks and emergency medical situations

Job Duties

  • Provide technical and medical information and intake adverse events and product complaints with quality customer service
  • Analyze and research inquiries and document interactions according to organizational, client and regulatory guidelines
  • Ensure subject safety, health and well-being by monitoring subject population continually during clinical trials
  • Act as primary assistant to Paramedic Manager for adverse event observation, documentation and treatment, deferring to physician/investigator as necessary
  • Perform basic and advanced medical care, including emergent and non-emergent treatment, resuscitation and stabilization of subjects
  • Execute technical procedures such as blood collection, vital signs monitoring, and ECGs
  • Assess out-of-range clinical values for symptomology and intervene medically if subject safety is in question
