Job Requirements
- Successful completion of a paramedic training program OEMS approved
- Current North Carolina Paramedic Certification
- Certification in BLS on hire
- Certification in ACLS and PALS within six months
- Ability to lift and support 35 pounds
- Ability to speak English in understandable terms
- Experience in a pre-hospital environment preferred
- Ability to respond quickly to changes in patient and unit conditions
Job Qualifications
- Successful completion of an OEMS-approved paramedic training program
- Current North Carolina Paramedic Certification (national registry preferred)
- Certification in BLS on hire
- Certification in ACLS and PALS within six months of hire
- Affiliation with EMS agency to maintain national registry certification
- Ability to comply with state-mandated education requirements for certification
- Experience in pre-hospital emergency environment preferred
Job Duties
- Provides patient care in accordance with policies and state regulations as approved by the Medical Director
- Administers medications safely according to policy and facility guidelines under supervision
- Collects and communicates patient data, reads monitors, and responds with correct interventions
- Evaluates patients and communicates required needs and care to the team
- Executes skills as approved by NC-OEMS and Medical Director
- Transports patients between designated areas
- Performs and maintains competency for Point-of-Care testing ensuring compliance with policies and regulations
