Job Requirements
- Texas paramedic license
- Ability to work flexible schedules including nights and weekends
- At least 2 years of relevant experience preferred
- Physical ability to lift, push, and pull 125 lbs or more
- Valid driver's license with clean driving record
- Up-to-date BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications
- Successful completion of physical aptitude test
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Tech-savvy or comfortable using technology
- Ability to follow state and county medical protocols
- Commitment to professional conduct and teamwork
Job Qualifications
- Texas Paramedic License
- Critical care certification is a plus
- BLS, ACLS, PALS with American Heart Association
- Valid driver's license with 2+ years driving history and acceptable driving record
- FEMA ICS 100, 200, 700 and 800 certifications
- Excellent verbal communication skills
- Tech-savvy or comfortable with technology
- Able to work well on a team
- Respectful of colleagues, patients, and supervisors
- Successfully complete physical aptitude test
Job Duties
- Collaborate with fellow paramedics, EMTs, and management to assure top tier patient care
- Be flexible as emergency services operate on a 24-hour clock, your work schedule may vary
- Remain up to date with current standards of care, including equipment functions and uses, and all certifications, licenses and registrations
- Conduct yourself in a courteous, helpful, and professional manner with patients, co-workers, supervisors, and the public
- Recognize and treat medical conditions with appropriate techniques, equipment, and knowledge of all state and county protocols
- Provide medical transport and care to patients, following established policies and procedures
- Maintain rig cleanliness by stocking and taking ownership of your space
- Gather patient billing information and obtain billing signatures
- Prepare and submit pre-hospital patient care reports
- Respond promptly to dispatch assignments
- Must be able to lift, push, and pull 125 lbs or more
- Other tasks as assigned
