Job Requirements

  • Texas paramedic license
  • Ability to work flexible schedules including nights and weekends
  • At least 2 years of relevant experience preferred
  • Physical ability to lift, push, and pull 125 lbs or more
  • Valid driver's license with clean driving record
  • Up-to-date BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications
  • Successful completion of physical aptitude test
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Tech-savvy or comfortable using technology
  • Ability to follow state and county medical protocols
  • Commitment to professional conduct and teamwork

Job Qualifications

  • Texas Paramedic License
  • Critical care certification is a plus
  • BLS, ACLS, PALS with American Heart Association
  • Valid driver's license with 2+ years driving history and acceptable driving record
  • FEMA ICS 100, 200, 700 and 800 certifications
  • Excellent verbal communication skills
  • Tech-savvy or comfortable with technology
  • Able to work well on a team
  • Respectful of colleagues, patients, and supervisors
  • Successfully complete physical aptitude test

Job Duties

  • Collaborate with fellow paramedics, EMTs, and management to assure top tier patient care
  • Be flexible as emergency services operate on a 24-hour clock, your work schedule may vary
  • Remain up to date with current standards of care, including equipment functions and uses, and all certifications, licenses and registrations
  • Conduct yourself in a courteous, helpful, and professional manner with patients, co-workers, supervisors, and the public
  • Recognize and treat medical conditions with appropriate techniques, equipment, and knowledge of all state and county protocols
  • Provide medical transport and care to patients, following established policies and procedures
  • Maintain rig cleanliness by stocking and taking ownership of your space
  • Gather patient billing information and obtain billing signatures
  • Prepare and submit pre-hospital patient care reports
  • Respond promptly to dispatch assignments
  • Must be able to lift, push, and pull 125 lbs or more
  • Other tasks as assigned
