Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- At least three months recent paramedic experience or completion of a paramedic internship
- EMT-P certification
- Licensed Paramedic status
- ACLS certification
- BCLS certification
- PALS certification within 60 days
- CPI training within 60 days
- Ability to function in a fast-paced environment
- Positive interpersonal skills
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Basic computer skills
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- EMT-P certification upon hire
- Licensed Paramedic upon hire
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification upon hire
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification upon hire
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification within 60 days of hire
- Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) training within 60 days of hire
- Strong organizational, communication, and computer skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Job Duties
- Responds to emergency calls and provides pre-hospital advanced emergency care
- Performs technical paramedic skills adapted to patient-specific needs
- Collaborates with health care team members to promote patient safety and effective individualized care
- Participates in shared governance activities to improve unit and organizational outcomes
- Communicates effectively with patients, families, and team members
- Maintains documentation and compliance with regulatory and hospital standards
- Engages in continuous professional development and quality improvement initiatives
