Job Requirements
- Must have Alaska paramedic license or willing to obtain
- Current CPR and ACLS certification
- 3-5 years remote and/or emergency response experience
- OSHA 30 certification
- DOT drug and alcohol collector certification
- Blood borne pathogen testing
- Bear guard training
- NIOSH certification
- CAOHC certification
- Swiftwater training
- Ropes skills
- Wilderness first responder certification
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts in remote locations
- Must pass pre-employment drug test, physical exam, fitness for duty assessment, background check, and motor vehicle report
Job Qualifications
- Alaska paramedic license or willingness to obtain
- Current CPR and ACLS certification
- 3-5 years remote and/or emergency response experience
- Knowledge of advanced life support techniques
- Ability to perform invasive procedures such as airway management and IV therapy
- Experience in patient triage and emergency care documentation
- Familiarity with state and federal EMS regulations
- Physical fitness to meet demanding job requirements
Job Duties
- Provide non-emergency and emergency medical response to employees on site
- Assess the safety and hazards at the scene of an emergency
- Control the hazards at an emergency scene
- Determine the nature and extent of illness or injury and establish priorities for emergency care
- Treat injuries or illness using advanced life support techniques and medications under supervision
- Extricate patients from entrapment
- Provide special rescue services where trained
- Perform triaging of patients and manage mass casualty situations
- Complete detailed documentation on patient care and transport
- Maintain, clean, and restock emergency supplies and equipment
- Support the HSE function as a helper when appropriate
