Job Requirements
- Possess a National Registry of Emergency Medical Technician Paramedic (NREMT-P) certification
- Hold current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Maintain current Advanced Life Support (ACLS) certification
- Have at least one year of relevant general experience
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to walk unaided at normal pace for up to 5 minutes and maintain balance
- Ability to jog or fast walk up to a mile
- Capability to lift objects over 30 pounds
- Ability to perform CPR/emergency care standing or kneeling
- Ability to assist sick, injured, or aging individuals in emergencies
- Must see, hear, and smell adequately with aids if necessary
- Ability to sit or stand for extended periods
- Average manual dexterity for computer operations
- Must be minimum 21 years of age
- Maintain physical residency in continental U.S.
- Pass a medical examination by licensed physician within 30 days prior to assignment
- Be U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident
- Reside in U.S. for last five years unless abroad on official government duty
- Complete thorough background investigation
- Possess or have ability to obtain required security clearances
- Proficiency in Spanish preferred
Job Qualifications
- Possess a National Registry of Emergency Medical Technician Paramedic (NREMT-P) certification

- Demonstrated ability to greet and deal tactfully with the public
- Capability of understanding and applying written and verbal orders, rules, and regulations
- Good judgment, courage, alertness, and an even temperament
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to maintain poise and self-control during mentally stressful situations
Job Duties
- Evaluate patient's condition to properly stabilize for treatment
- Administer cardiopulmonary resuscitation on patients through various techniques such as intravenous (IV) insertion, intubation and drug administration
- Determine advanced medical implications of wounds to treat appropriately
- Determine proper method to stabilize patients with physical injuries such as fractures, dislocations and sprains
- Collaborate with healthcare team to facilitate appropriate medical follow-up
- Provide emergency medical care in high-pressure situations
- Maintain composure and deliver quality care in stressful and austere environments
