Job Requirements

  • One year experience within an active EMS system providing advanced life support (ALS) preferred
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Current NJ paramedic certification or eligibility for reciprocity
  • Current BLS, ACLS, PALS or equivalent certifications
  • ICS-100 and IS-700 upon hire
  • ICS-200 and IS-800 within first year
  • Valid state driver’s license with clean driving record
  • Driver must be between the ages of 21 and 79
  • Proof of valid personal automobile insurance
  • No driving violations or accidents in past three years
  • Full-time availability, 36 hours per week
  • Day shift availability

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Current NJ paramedic certification or eligible for reciprocity
  • NREMT-P preferred
  • Current BLS, ACLS, PALS or PEPP or EPC certifications
  • ICS-100 or equivalent and IS-700 or equivalent upon hire
  • ICS-200 or equivalent and IS-800 or equivalent within first year of employment
  • Current state issued driver’s license with clean driving record
  • Proof of valid personal automobile insurance coverage in the state of New Jersey
  • No reported driving-related violations or accidents in the past three years

Job Duties

  • Provide pre-hospital advanced life support (ALS) care in all weather conditions
  • Cooperate with other EMS providers as a member of the patient care team
  • Render care to patients of all ages experiencing injury or illness
  • Utilize appropriate equipment and techniques to safely assess, treat, lift, move and transport patients
  • Complete all required documentation and other assigned duties to support efficient EMS operations
  • Maintain a professional attitude and communication at all times
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to ensure skill currency
