Job Requirements
- Minimum high school diploma
- NYS advanced emergency technician 4 certification
- NYC MAC certification
- NYS driver’s license
- Minimum 1 year EMS experience
- NYS-DOH paramedic certification
- NYC REMAC paramedic certification
- ACLS certification
- BCLS certification
- PALS certification

- NYS-DOH paramedic certification

Job Duties
- Handle treatment and patient care responsibilities with knowledge of patient growth and development appropriate to patient age
- Treat patients in accordance with New York City and State Medical Advisory Committee guidelines
- Document and be accountable for all medical treatment rendered with accuracy and attentiveness
- Inspect assigned ambulance daily to ensure medical equipment and mechanical components are operational
- Operate ambulance safely while obeying all traffic laws
- Maintain cleanliness of vehicle and equipment
- Perform invasive medical procedures based on clinical judgement including intravenous insertions, endotracheal intubation, defibrillation, and synchronized cardioversion
