Job Requirements

  • Possess a National Registry of Emergency Medical Technician Paramedic (NREMT-P) certification
  • have American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • hold current Advanced Life Support (ACLS) certification
  • minimum of one year experience demonstrating effective public interaction and ability to follow complex instructions
  • possess high school diploma or equivalent
  • must be at least 21 years old
  • U.S. citizenship or lawful permanent resident status
  • residency in the continental U.S.
  • ability to pass medical examination within 30 days prior to assignment
  • capability to pass thorough background investigation and obtain required security clearances
  • meet physical requirements including ability to walk unaided, jog up to one mile, lift over 30 pounds, perform CPR standing or kneeling, and maintain physical stamina in stressful environments
  • proficiency in Spanish preferred

Job Qualifications

  • possess a high school diploma or equivalent

Job Duties

  • Evaluate patient's condition to properly stabilize for treatment
  • administer cardiopulmonary resuscitation using techniques such as intravenous insertion, intubation, and drug administration
  • determine advanced medical implications of wounds and provide appropriate treatment
  • stabilize patients with physical injuries including fractures, dislocations, and sprains
  • collaborate with healthcare team to facilitate appropriate follow-up care
  • respond promptly to medical emergencies and crises
  • maintain accurate patient records and reports
