Job Requirements

  • EMT certification with NREMT
  • Paramedic certification (EMT-P) per state requirements
  • Minimum one year patient-facing experience
  • Valid driver's license with clean driving record
  • BLS, American Heart Association
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • Ability to lift and carry equipment up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to walk up and down several flights of stairs while carrying equipment
  • Strong customer service, communication, and technological skills
  • Previous experience with history gathering and EMR documentation
  • Previous experience with basic procedural skills
  • Cultural competency
  • Ability to work varied schedule with evenings, holidays, and weekends
  • Authorized to work for any U.S. employer

Job Qualifications

  • Paramedic certification (EMT-P)
  • BLS and CPR certified
  • Minimum one year patient-facing experience
  • Bachelor's degree in core or lab science with experience in chemistry and hematology encouraged
  • Valid driver's license with clean driving record
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • Strong customer service, communication, and technological skills
  • Previous experience with comprehensive history gathering and EMR documentation
  • Previous experience with basic procedural skills
  • Cultural competency and ability to develop rapport with patients and families
  • Ability to communicate verbal professional clinical presentations and summaries
  • Ability to function autonomously and as part of a team
  • Strong critical thinking skills
  • Ability to work varied schedules including evenings, holidays, and weekends
  • Authorization to work for any U.S. employer

Job Duties

  • Drive DispatchHealth vehicle to meet patients at their place of need and load and unload supplies for daily activities
  • Don and doff PPE appropriately and maintain strict infection prevention strategies
  • Communicate with a healthcare provider via messaging video conference and mobile device
  • Obtain patient's vital signs and assist in the collection of patient data
  • Facilitate a physical exam using a mobile device and conduct other diagnostic tests and treatments as requested by virtual provider, as permitted by state law
  • Perform indicated point-of-care lab testing as directed by virtual provider
  • Prepare discharge instructions in conjunction with provider
  • Responsible for equipment use, care and allocation
  • Restock and clean equipment at end of shift appropriately
  • Other duties as assigned to successfully complete a visit and maintain equipment and vehicles
