Job Requirements
- EMT certification with NREMT
- Paramedic certification (EMT-P) per state requirements
- Minimum one year patient-facing experience
- Valid driver's license with clean driving record
- BLS, American Heart Association
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Ability to lift and carry equipment up to 50 pounds
- Ability to walk up and down several flights of stairs while carrying equipment
- Strong customer service, communication, and technological skills
- Previous experience with history gathering and EMR documentation
- Previous experience with basic procedural skills
- Cultural competency
- Ability to work varied schedule with evenings, holidays, and weekends
- Authorized to work for any U.S. employer
Job Qualifications
- Paramedic certification (EMT-P)
- BLS and CPR certified
- Minimum one year patient-facing experience
- Bachelor's degree in core or lab science with experience in chemistry and hematology encouraged
- Valid driver's license with clean driving record
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Strong customer service, communication, and technological skills
- Previous experience with comprehensive history gathering and EMR documentation
- Previous experience with basic procedural skills
- Cultural competency and ability to develop rapport with patients and families
- Ability to communicate verbal professional clinical presentations and summaries
- Ability to function autonomously and as part of a team
- Strong critical thinking skills
- Ability to work varied schedules including evenings, holidays, and weekends
- Authorization to work for any U.S. employer
Job Duties
- Drive DispatchHealth vehicle to meet patients at their place of need and load and unload supplies for daily activities
- Don and doff PPE appropriately and maintain strict infection prevention strategies
- Communicate with a healthcare provider via messaging video conference and mobile device
- Obtain patient's vital signs and assist in the collection of patient data
- Facilitate a physical exam using a mobile device and conduct other diagnostic tests and treatments as requested by virtual provider, as permitted by state law
- Perform indicated point-of-care lab testing as directed by virtual provider
- Prepare discharge instructions in conjunction with provider
- Responsible for equipment use, care and allocation
- Restock and clean equipment at end of shift appropriately
- Other duties as assigned to successfully complete a visit and maintain equipment and vehicles
