  • State of Indiana EMT-Paramedic Certification
  • Current CPR Certification
  • Current ACLS Certification
  • Current PALS Certification
  • Pass State of Indiana Criminal Background Check
  • Pass Indiana BMV Motor Vehicle Report

  • Successful completion of a criminal background check
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of patient information

Job Duties

  • Perform all skills and procedures as designed by the Indiana EMS Commission curriculum
  • meet the requirements of Trans-Care's Medical Direction for affiliation and clinical oversight
  • practice skills and duties within the Standard of Care Protocol and any physician orders
  • comply with all Trans-Care policies and procedures
  • respond to EMS calls as assigned observing policies on out of chute and end of shift times
  • operate assigned vehicle under Indiana state rules and Trans-Care policies
  • treat all customers, patients, employees, and vendors honestly and respectfully
  • maintain patient confidentiality according to Trans-Care's privacy policies and federal/state laws
  • report concerns regarding privacy breaches or policy violations
  • maintain professionalism and courteous attitude while on duty
  • ensure all necessary Advance Life Support equipment is functional and available
  • account for and check narcotics and medications for compliance and expiration
  • maintain in-service education as prescribed
  • operate vehicle following safety policies
  • submit complete, accurate, and timely documentation
  • maintain a clean and hazard-free work environment
  • precept Paramedics, EMT-Basic students, and new employees
  • report vehicle issues needing repair
  • maintain physical fitness to perform job duties
  • perform any related duties as assigned by supervisor
