Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • ability to lift and push objects over 40 pounds
  • physical ability to bend, twist, and stand for normal job functions
  • basic communication skills in English to understand instructions and interact with customers

Job Qualifications

  • Ability to speak, read and comprehend instructions, short correspondence and policy documents
  • ability to converse comfortably with customers
  • experience in food preparation or kitchen support preferred
  • understanding of food safety and sanitation standards
  • ability to operate kitchen utensils and equipment
  • physical ability to lift and move objects over 40 pounds
  • ability to stand and bend for extended periods

Job Duties

  • Follows recipes and product directions for proper food preparation
  • transfers supplies and equipment between storage and work areas by hand or cart
  • prepares appropriate equipment for cooking
  • operates kitchen utensils and equipment used for weighing, measuring, mixing, washing, peeling, cutting, grinding, stirring, straining, slicing, assembling and kneading of food products
  • ensures proper food handling procedures are followed wrapping, labeling, dating, stocking, storing, rotating and checking temperature of products
  • receives and inventories food and beverage products and supplies
  • cleans and sanitizes work station and equipment
  • frequently immerses hands in water and water diluted with chemical solutions
