The role at Broward Health Medical Center is for a Full-Time Food Service Worker who will be assigned to day shifts. This role is pivotal within the hospital cafeteria environment, where the individual will assemble, cook, display, and serve various food and fast food grill items to employees, medical staff, volunteers, and visitors. The position requires a hands-on approach in all cafeteria areas, including but not limited to the main serving line, deli, grill, griddle, pizza area, specialty bars, and cash registers. This multi-faceted responsibility ensures that the cafeteria operates smoothly and efficiently, offering quality food service to a diverse clientele. Handling cash transactions forms an important part of the role, where the employee will be expected to receive and distribute funds, accurately record transactions, and balance cash registers as needed.   • manage cash register transactions including receiving, distributing funds, recording sales, and balancing cash drawers
  • maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas
