This position involves preparing both cold and hot food items according to detailed recipes and plating guidelines to ensure consistency in taste and presentation. You will be responsible for completing meal prep activities before service begins, which includes chopping ingredients, stocking supplies, and storing backup items to maintain efficiency during peak hours. Maintaining cleanliness and proper sanitation at all times in the kitchen is critical, and you will be expected to clean and sanitize workstations, equipment, refrigerators, storage areas, and floors at the end of your shift.
Effective communication is crucial as you will need to coordinate with the chef and other kitchen staff in a noisy and busy environment, ensuring that tasks are prioritized and completed efficiently. Physical endurance is required as the role involves standing for long periods, multitasking in a fast-paced setting, and lifting or carrying heavy items up to 25 pounds or more. Attention to detail when plating dishes is essential, including managing proper portions, maintaining temperature standards, and applying garnishes. Additionally, you will assist in ingredient storage to maintain freshness, reduce waste, and comply with food safety regulations, along with helping the chef in monitoring inventory levels.

Job Duties
- Maintain clean, sanitary and organized work area
