We are currently seeking a skilled and dedicated Garde Manger Chef to join our culinary team on a full-time basis. This role focuses exclusively on the preparation and presentation of cold dishes, encompassing salads, appetizers, chilled seafood, cold entrées, and desserts. The Garde Manger Chef plays a vital role in ensuring that these items are crafted with artistic flair and impeccable precision, enriching the overall dining experience. Working closely with the Executive/Head Chef as well as Sous Chefs, you will contribute to the development and execution of innovative menu items that uphold our high standards of quality, hygiene, food safety, and consistency. This position requires strong knife skills, attention to detail, and an ability to manage time effectively in a busy kitchen environment. The ideal candidate is motivated, creative, and capable of combining technical culinary skills with a keen eye for presentation, helping to maintain the superior reputation our establishment enjoys in the competitive culinary scene. As a full-time employee, the successful candidate will have the opportunity to grow within our kitchen hierarchy and develop their culinary artistry while maintaining rigorous standards that meet health and safety regulations.

Job Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Garde Manger Pantry Chef or similar role in a high-end restaurant or culinary establishment
  • Demonstrated ability to create visually appealing and artistic food presentations
  • Proficiency in knife skills and precision cutting
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Flexibility to work evenings weekends and holidays as required
  • Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift heavy objects when necessary

Job Duties

  • Prepare and present a variety of cold food items including salads appetizers cold entrees chilled seafood and desserts
  • Create visually stunning and artistic food presentations that align with the operation’s style and brand
  • Ensure all cold food preparations are executed with precision paying close attention to flavor texture temperature and presentation
  • Comply with all health and safety regulations including personal hygiene and uniform standards
  • Handle and store food items properly to prevent cross-contamination cross-contact allergens and spoilage
  • Report any equipment malfunctions or maintenance needs to the appropriate personnel
