Job Requirements

  • Associate degree in liberal arts, business, analytics, information technology, healthcare related field or medical coding
  • Alternatively, high school diploma with medical coding certificate and one year of medical coding experience
  • Alternatively, high school diploma with three years of experience in healthcare business operations such as payer relations, admissions, billing/coding, authorization, analytics, or IT
  • Must be able to work independently and communicate with leaders when issues arise
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office software including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access
  • Must meet or exceed core customer service responsibilities according to Henry Ford Health Customer Service Policy
  • Must practice customer skills as provided through ongoing training and in-services

Job Qualifications

  • Associate degree in liberal arts, business, analytics, information technology, healthcare related field or medical coding
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Experience in healthcare business operations including payer relations, admissions, billing/coding, authorization, analytics, or IT
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access
  • Ability to work independently and communicate effectively with leaders
  • Understanding of payer initiatives and attribution processes
  • Strong data analysis and problem-solving skills
  • Experience in database development and data collection strategies

Job Duties

  • Manages complex payer member files in conjunction with EPIC reports to reconcile payer and EPIC attribution
  • Develops and implements databases, data collection systems, data analytics, and other strategies that optimize efficiency and quality
  • Audits reports and identifies, analyzes, and interprets trends or patterns in data sets
  • Works with payers to ensure accurate member attribution to Henry Ford Health PCP for up to 30,000 aligned lives
  • Prepares and organizes meetings, reports, presentations, and documents related to member engagement and attribution assignment
  • Performs patient outreach to close quality care gaps and/or attribution and engagement with PCPs
  • Maintains working knowledge of payer initiatives/processes and educates key stakeholders
  • Works with other business units to assure attribution and registration processes are followed
  • Educates new Clinic Service Representatives and department staff on attribution and registration processes
  • Maintains registry compliance scores
  • Performs other related duties as assigned or requested
