Join Prairie Band Casino & Resort as a Promotions and Events Coordinator where you will play a pivotal role in shaping the guest experience through engaging marketing efforts and well-executed entertainment events. This full-time position offers a competitive salary with a $750 hiring bonus for new team members along with $50 in gas gift cards during onboarding. As a Promotions and Events Coordinator, your responsibilities include developing, coordinating, and executing all promotions and events on property, ensuring communication of promotional plans throughout the resort. You will assist in marketing programs that attract new visitors, incentivize incremental player trips, increase gaming revenue, and foster customer loyalty. The position requires working closely with multiple departments including Advertising, IT, Direct Mail, and Food & Beverage to ensure seamless execution and awareness of events. You will also support proofing advertising materials for accuracy, act as an emcee for promotions and events as needed, and provide exceptional customer service to create a fun, entertaining experience that resonates with guests.

This role demands a combination of creativity, organization, and attention to detail as you develop proposals within budgetary constraints, maintain event records, reconcile vendor invoices, and participate in strategic planning meetings. Strong decision-making and negotiation skills are essential as you handle vendor relationships and resolve guest complaints calmly and efficiently. The environment is fast-paced and dynamic, requiring the ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining a professional and friendly demeanor. The successful candidate will have a background in business, marketing, or related fields, or substantial experience in gaming or event planning, coupled with excellent communication and customer service skills.

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • assist in executing marketing programs that drive new trips to the property
  • assist in the planning and implementation of all special events, promotions and entertainment
  • assist in the emceeing of all promotions, events and entertainment as needed
  • assist in proofing advertising, direct mail, special event and promotion collateral to ensure copy and variable data is accurate
  • coordinate support from other departments to ensure promotion execution and awareness
  • adhere to regulatory, departmental and company policies in an ethical manner and encourage others to do the same
  • participate in meetings to develop ideas for future promotions and events as needed
  • record expenses for each event and promotion
  • respond to inquiries from customers for information regarding upcoming events, promotions, and entertainment
  • provide a high level of customer service and promote a positive attitude to create a fun and entertaining experience for guests
  • develop promotion and event proposals within defined budgetary and strategic parameters
  • develop implementation timelines and task lists and coordinate all aspects of promotions and events with advertising, IT, direct mail, food & beverage, etc.
  • reconcile event manifests, vendor invoices and assist with analysis of promotions and events
  • resolve guest complaints and disputes, exercising discretion and judgment
  • perform other duties as assigned
