Job Requirements
- High school diploma or general education diploma or equivalent experience
- 0 to 1 year of relevant work experience
- Preferably experience in bakery or specialty pastry position
- Must be able to stand or walk for long periods
- Capable of bending, reaching, lifting up to 35 pounds frequently and sometimes up to 50 pounds
- Able to use hands to touch, handle, feel, and taste
- Must attend work and arrive for scheduled shifts on time
- Availability to work varying shifts including days and hours
- Open availability preferred
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma, general education diploma (GED) or equivalent experience
- 0 to 1 year of relevant work experience
- Experience in a bakery or specialty pastry role preferred
- Ability to follow detailed recipes and baking procedures
- Strong attention to detail and quality standards
- Basic knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
Job Duties
- Review daily production schedules and follow recipes to prepare various baked goods
- Weigh and measure ingredients accurately, mix dough and batters by hand or mixer, shape and cut dough, bake items to perfection
- Regulate oven temperatures, monitor cooking times, ensure products are prepared, held, and served at correct temperatures
- Organize and stock bakery area, maintain proper storage, rotation, labeling, and dating of all products, keep bakery clean and organized
- Pay close attention to detail, accommodate special orders, ensure only high-quality baked products leave the kitchen
- Walk or circulate frequently during shifts
- Use hands to touch, handle, feel, reach, taste or smell ingredients and products
