Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education diploma or equivalent experience
  • 0 to 1 year of relevant work experience
  • Preferably experience in bakery or specialty pastry position
  • Must be able to stand or walk for long periods
  • Capable of bending, reaching, lifting up to 35 pounds frequently and sometimes up to 50 pounds
  • Able to use hands to touch, handle, feel, and taste
  • Must attend work and arrive for scheduled shifts on time
  • Availability to work varying shifts including days and hours
  • Open availability preferred

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma, general education diploma (GED) or equivalent experience
  • 0 to 1 year of relevant work experience
  • Experience in a bakery or specialty pastry role preferred
  • Ability to follow detailed recipes and baking procedures
  • Strong attention to detail and quality standards
  • Basic knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices

Job Duties

  • Review daily production schedules and follow recipes to prepare various baked goods
  • Weigh and measure ingredients accurately, mix dough and batters by hand or mixer, shape and cut dough, bake items to perfection
  • Regulate oven temperatures, monitor cooking times, ensure products are prepared, held, and served at correct temperatures
  • Organize and stock bakery area, maintain proper storage, rotation, labeling, and dating of all products, keep bakery clean and organized
  • Pay close attention to detail, accommodate special orders, ensure only high-quality baked products leave the kitchen
  • Walk or circulate frequently during shifts
  • Use hands to touch, handle, feel, reach, taste or smell ingredients and products
