The role available at Highgate Hotels is designed for individuals passionate about customer service and property maintenance within a fast-paced, guest-centered environment. This full-time position plays an essential part in delivering elevated guest experiences by ensuring all hotel facilities and guest rooms are impeccably maintained and operational. Each day, you will begin by greeting guests with a welcoming attitude and surveying the hotel to identify and address any areas needing your attention. Your role requires strong attention to detail as you perform preventative maintenance tasks in vacant guest rooms and public spaces. You will conduct daily rounds and utilize checklists and preventative maintenance programs to maintain the hotel’s equipment and facilities at the highest standards. Resolving guest concerns promptly and effectively is a crucial part of this position, contributing directly to the seamless and memorable experiences that Highgate strives to offer every visitor. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of two years general maintenance experience
  • Proficiency in one or more maintenance trades such as HVAC, electrical, or refrigeration
  • Ability to perform physical tasks including standing and lifting up to 50 lbs
  • Excellent communication and guest service skills
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
  • Availability to work full-time hours

Job Qualifications

  • Two to three years of general maintenance experience preferably in a hotel environment
  • Proficient in at least one of the following areas - HVAC, electrical, painting and wallpaper, refrigeration, or kitchen equipment
  • Ability to work on feet for extended periods
  • Capacity to lift safely up to 50 lbs
  • Strong attention to detail and a passion for maintaining high-quality guest environments
  • Adaptability in a fast-paced, changing work environment
  • Eagerness to learn new maintenance skills and techniques

Job Duties

  • Greet guests and ensure their satisfaction during their stay
  • Conduct daily rounds and inspections of hotel facilities
