The Production Operative role is vital in supporting the manufacturing and packaging processes of raw pet food products. This position involves working as part of a dynamic and fast-paced production team to ensure daily production targets are consistently met without compromising on hygiene, safety, and quality standards. The position is based in Aycliffe, Durham, and offers flexible shift patterns, including day shifts from 7:00 am to 3:00 pm and back shifts from 3:00 pm to 11:00 pm. The pay rate ranges from 12.80 to 13.12 pounds per hour, reflecting the company’s commitment to providing competitive compensation to its workforce. This role includes full on-the-job training, making it accessible to candidates with varying levels of experience, although previous production or warehouse experience is preferred.

The Production Operative will be responsible for operating machinery and equipment safely and efficiently, preparing, weighing, and mixing raw ingredients according to production specifications, and packing finished products with accurate labelling and quality assurance. Maintaining clean and hygienic work areas, carrying out quality checks, and reporting issues to supervisors are also critical components of the role. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with team members to meet daily targets while adhering strictly to all health and safety policies.
