Job Description

Iron Heart Canning is recognized as the quality leader in mobile beverage canning, setting the standard for operational excellence across the industry. With an expansive presence spanning 27 states through multiple warehouse locations, Iron Heart provides expert onsite canning support tailored specifically for breweries, wineries, and various other beverage manufacturers. The company prides itself on delivering superior service and maintaining the highest standards in beverage packaging by leveraging cutting-edge technology and a highly skilled team of technicians. Iron Heart’s commitment to innovation and customer satisfaction has made it the preferred partner for beverage producers looking to streamline their canning processes and ensure product quality.

This full-time Packaging Technician position offers an excellent opportunity for candidates eager to develop their skills within the beverage packaging industry and grow professionally within a dynamic and supportive environment. The starting compensation rate is $20 per hour, coupled with an attractive benefits package that includes paid sick leave, paid holidays, paid time off, and comprehensive medical and dental insurance coverage. Employees at Iron Heart are encouraged to expand their knowledge and expertise through hands-on training and continuous onsite guidance, fostering a culture of learning and advancement.

As a Packaging Technician, you will play a crucial role in the smooth and efficient operation of Iron Heart’s mobile canning lines. Your responsibilities will include the setup and breakdown of canning equipment, adhering strictly to Clean-In-Place procedures to maintain hygiene and equipment standards, and operating and maintaining the canning line to ensure consistent product quality. The role demands physical stamina, attention to detail, and collaboration with both team members and client staff to meet high operational standards. Iron Heart values employees who demonstrate pride in their work, self-motivation, and a positive attitude with a commitment to upholding safety and company policies.

In addition to operational tasks, you will be involved in troubleshooting machinery such as labelers and date coders, performing quality checks regularly, and ensuring the cleanliness and proper maintenance of all equipment. The company emphasizes safety and efficiency and expects all technicians to communicate professionally with customers and colleagues. For advanced technicians, there is an opportunity to take on supervisory responsibilities, managing job site activities and directing other technicians while maintaining quality customer relations.

Candidates with mechanical aptitude and the ability to multitask in fast-paced settings will find this role rewarding. The work schedule can be flexible, often involving long hours and overnight stays based on the customer's production schedules. The physical demands are significant—lifting heavy pallets, pushing equipment weighing up to 800 pounds on wheels, and standing for extended periods—making physical fitness and endurance essential qualifications. Iron Heart’s supportive training programs ensure that even those new to canning operations can develop the skills needed to succeed and thrive in this role, making it an appealing choice for individuals passionate about craft beverages and the beverage production process.
