Reporting directly to the Respiratory Operations Manager, the successful candidate plays a key part in ensuring timely delivery of home medical equipment, including oxygen systems and related supplies, to patients and clients. Expertise in Department of Transportation (DOT) and Food and Drug Administration (FDA) regulations related to oxygen handling is essential, as this knowledge ensures all deliveries meet legal and health standards. The driver delivers equipment after carefully loading and segregating clean and used items according to protocol to prevent cross-contamination and maintain hygiene.

An important aspect of the role includes planning and executing efficient daily routes that optimize time and resources to provide prompt service. The delivery driver not only transports equipment but also provides patient orientation on the correct and safe usage of devices, fostering a positive patient experience and reducing the likelihood of equipment misuse. The person in this position acts as the company’s field representative, interacting directly with patients and clients, solving problems, and maintaining professional conduct and appearance to uphold the company’s reputation.
