Job Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • High school diploma, GED or equivalent
  • Valid driver's license
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule accommodating 24/7 operations including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Background check and drug screen required
  • Must be able to attain and sustain an airport identification badge

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma, GED or equivalent
  • Experience with baggage handling systems or airport operations preferred
  • Good mechanical aptitude
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication and customer service skills

Job Duties

  • Clear jams by physically re-arranging baggage and respond to trouble calls in the baggage handling system
  • Maintain cleanliness of system, including sweeping, housekeeping, collecting trash, and cleaning dust and debris
  • Demonstrate good mechanical aptitude and comprehensive skills
  • Monitor the baggage handling system from control room as needed
  • Follow instructions from control room operators, technicians, and supervisors on maintenance needs
  • Exercise safe working practices at all times, complying with company safety policies including personal protection equipment and lock out tag out procedures
  • Provide customer service by directing and handling passenger baggage ensuring baggage is directed to appropriate airport locations
