Job Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- High school diploma, GED or equivalent
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to work a flexible schedule accommodating 24/7 operations including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Background check and drug screen required
- Must be able to attain and sustain an airport identification badge
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma, GED or equivalent
- Experience with baggage handling systems or airport operations preferred
- Good mechanical aptitude
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication and customer service skills
Job Duties
- Clear jams by physically re-arranging baggage and respond to trouble calls in the baggage handling system
- Maintain cleanliness of system, including sweeping, housekeeping, collecting trash, and cleaning dust and debris
- Demonstrate good mechanical aptitude and comprehensive skills
- Monitor the baggage handling system from control room as needed
- Follow instructions from control room operators, technicians, and supervisors on maintenance needs
- Exercise safe working practices at all times, complying with company safety policies including personal protection equipment and lock out tag out procedures
- Provide customer service by directing and handling passenger baggage ensuring baggage is directed to appropriate airport locations
