Job Requirements
- Minimum high school diploma or equivalent
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL)
- Ownership of reliable tractor and trailer
- Clean driving record
- Ability to work day shifts and 6 days a week
- Experience with local and regional freight delivery
- Authorization to work in the United States
Job Qualifications
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL)
- Proven experience as an owner operator in freight transportation
- Strong knowledge of local and regional freight routes in Michigan and surrounding states
- Understanding of intermodal freight operations
- Excellent communication and time management skills
- Ability to perform vehicle inspections and basic maintenance
- Commitment to safety and compliance standards
Job Duties
- Operate tractor trailer on local and regional routes
- Ensure timely and safe delivery of freight
- Maintain communication with dispatch regarding load status
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
- Comply with all federal, state, and company safety regulations
- Coordinate logistics for door-to-door drayage
- Maintain accurate delivery and route documentation
