Job Requirements

  • valid commercial driver license (cdl) with a clean driving record
  • proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role
  • strong knowledge of route planning and navigation techniques
  • ability to operate various types of trucks including tractor-trailers and flatbeds
  • excellent time management skills to meet delivery deadlines
  • 6 months of recent verifiable experience or 3 years in the last 10 years
  • truck must be port compliant
  • all pages of the medical certificate

Job Duties

  • operate commercial vehicles to transport goods across designated routes
  • load and unload cargo safely and efficiently, ensuring proper handling of materials
  • adhere to all traffic laws and safety regulations while on the road
  • maintain accurate records of deliveries, including mileage and fuel usage
  • inspect vehicles before and after trips to ensure they are in good working condition
  • communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery schedules
  • plan routes efficiently to maximize delivery timeliness and fuel economy
