Job Requirements
- Must know how to drive automatic and manual transmission passenger vehicles
- Possess math skills sufficient to calculate time and money
- Must be able to understand verbal instructions and act accordingly in a timely manner
- Must have unrestricted authorization to work in the US
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Valid driver’s license may be required depending on location
- Must be able to pass a basic math skills test
- Must be willing to submit to a drug, background investigation, and MVR/Driving Record check
- Must be willing to work in a parking garage/location in the specified city and state area
- Must be willing and able to work outdoors and be exposed to all types of weather elements
- Must be able to stand for extended periods
- Must be able to walk or move promptly to assist customers
- Must be able to travel up and down parking garage ramps
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Professional experience parking cars or working as a valet attendant preferred
- Prior customer service industry experience preferred
- Excellent communication skills to interact with co-workers, superiors, and customers
- Strong time management skills and ability to perform in a fast-paced environment
- Positive attitude and strong customer focus
- Ability to grasp, push, scoop, and lift up to 50 pounds
Job Duties
- Drive, maneuver, and park automatic and manual cars in confined and varied parking facilities
- Return to work stations quickly to facilitate optimal customer flow
- Handle vehicles with care and follow all safety precautions
- Remain vigilant for unusual or potentially threatening situations and inform management immediately
- Monitor the work area and property for safety and security
- Report accidents, hazards, maintenance needs, and suspicious activities to a manager promptly
- Provide outstanding customer service by responding to customer needs, questions, and complaints quickly and efficiently
- Assist customers in and out of vehicles as needed
- Perform cashier duties or light garage/lot maintenance depending on location
- Operate or ride man lift depending on location needs
