The Guest Service Associate position at Towne Park is a dynamic hospitality role focused on providing outstanding customer service while handling crucial operational responsibilities related to guest vehicle parking and retrieval. This position works predominantly overnight shifts and entails ensuring safety and efficiency as well as fostering a warm, friendly atmosphere that comforts and assists guests. Key responsibilities include greeting guests with professionalism, handling guest luggage, and assisting with directions and other inquiries to enhance their visit. Associates also manage essential administrative functions such as issuing claim checks, calculating parking rates, and maintaining accurate records to keep the parking operations smooth and secure. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid driver’s license for the state or commutable distance
  • At least one month of related experience or training
  • Ability to read and write standard English
  • Ability to comprehend simple instructions, correspondence, and memos
  • Ability to write simple correspondence
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide using American money
  • Ability to understand 24-hour and military time
  • Ability to understand rates applicable to elapsed time
  • Ability to perform parallel parking
  • Capability to operate a manual transmission is highly desirable

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • Must hold a valid driver’s license for the state of employment or within commutable distance
  • One month related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services
  • Ability to read and write standard English
  • Ability to understand and perform basic mathematical operations involving money
  • Ability to comprehend and present information effectively in one-on-one and small group situations
  • Ability to understand 24-hour and military time systems
  • Ability to perform parallel parking
  • Ability to operate a manual transmission is highly desirable

Job Duties

  • Maintain pleasant, friendly, and professional demeanor with all guests, co-workers, and clients
  • Acknowledge and greet guests within five feet using guest last names
  • Use salutation of the day and welcome guests to the location
  • Practice proper Towne Park phone etiquette
  • Park and retrieve vehicles while driving slowly and cautiously
  • Assist guests with bell services and luggage storage as needed
  • Open all vehicle and hotel doors for guests
  • Assist guests with directions, taxis, reservations, and other inquiries
  • Provide guests with information about outlets, meeting rooms, amenities, and local attractions
  • Deliver messages, items, and guest amenities
  • Shuttle guests to approved locations
  • Explain parking rates and retrieval procedures to guests
  • Issue claim checks only after receiving vehicle keys and collect claim checks before issuing keys
  • Complete and maintain all ticket information including key tag, guest folio, vehicle location, damage survey, and claim check receipt
  • Calculate and collect revenue for vehicles when needed
