The role of a Guest Service Associate at Towne Park is critical to upholding the company’s standard of exceptional hospitality. This position involves providing friendly, attentive, and efficient service to guests while parking and retrieving vehicles safely and promptly. The Guest Service Associate also assists guests with luggage handling when applicable, ensuring arrivals and departures proceed smoothly. Working primarily overnight, this role offers a wage of $12.75 per hour plus tips, with benefits such as accident insurance, critical illness insurance, hospital indemnity insurance, telemedicine services, and eligibility to participate in the company's 401k retirement plan. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid driver’s license for the state of employment or within commutable distance
- At least one month of related experience or equivalent education and experience
- Ability to provide exceptional customer service
- Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication and division with American currency
- Ability to read, write and comprehend English
- Good communication skills for interacting with guests and team members
- Ability to safely operate a vehicle, preferably manual transmission
- Physical ability to perform duties including lifting up to 100 pounds
- Willingness to work overnight shifts
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Must hold a valid driver's license for the state you are applying to work or within a commutable distance
- One month related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services
- Ability to read and write standard English language
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos
- Ability to write simple correspondence
- Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations
- Ability to add and subtract three digit numbers and to multiply and divide with tens and hundreds
- Ability to perform these operations using units of American money
- Ability to understand 24 hour and military time systems
- Ability to understand rates applicable to time passed
- Ability to operate a manual transmission is highly desirable
- Ability to perform parallel parking
Job Duties
- Maintain pleasant, friendly and professional demeanor with all guests, co-workers and clients
- Acknowledge and greet guests within five feet using guest last names
- Use salutation of the day and welcome guests to the location
- Practice proper Towne Park phone etiquette
- Post up in designated areas when not completing tasks
- Park and retrieve vehicles while driving slowly and cautiously
- Assist guests with bell services and luggage storage as needed
- Open all vehicle and hotel doors for guests
- Assist guests with directions, taxis, reservations and other inquiries
- Provide guests with information about outlets, meeting rooms or amenities of the facility as well as main attractions in the area
- Deliver messages, items or guest amenities as requested
- Shuttle guests to approved locations
- Explain parking rates and retrieval procedures to guests upon arrival
- Issue claim checks only after receiving vehicle keys
- Collect claim checks from all guests prior to issuing keys
- Complete and maintain all ticket information including key tag, guest folio, location of vehicle, damage survey and claim check receipt
- Complete location on all key tags after parking vehicle
- Calculate and collect revenue for vehicles when needed
