The role of a Guest Service Associate at Towne Park is vital in maintaining the company’s reputation for excellent customer service. This position is part-time, specifically for overnight shifts from 11pm to 7am, with an hourly base pay of $15 plus tips. The Guest Service Associate is responsible for providing attentive, friendly, and efficient hospitality services to guests. Responsibilities include parking and retrieving vehicles safely, assisting with luggage, and handling guest inquiries and requests. The Associate will greet guests warmly within five feet, using proper salutations and guest last names to personalize the experience. Phone etiquette and posting in designated areas when not actively engaged are important aspects of the role. Vehicle operations include careful and cautious driving, door opening assistance, and accurate completion of all ticketing and claim checks consistent with company policies. The Guest Service Associate also aids guests by providing directions, coordinating taxis, delivering messages, and explaining parking rates and procedures clearly at arrival. There is an emphasis on safety and efficiency in managing guest vehicles, ensuring that all documentation is meticulously maintained to prevent errors.
Applicants must possess a valid driver’s license for their state or a commutable distance, have at least one month of related experience or equivalent education, and demonstrate strong skills in communication, basic math, and understanding of time and rate systems. The position may require physical demands such as extended periods of standing, walking, handling luggage, and the ability to exert substantial physical force occasionally. Working outdoors in various weather conditions is standard, necessitating resilience and adaptability.

Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid driver’s license for the applicable state or nearby commuting distance
- Minimum one month related experience or equivalent education
- Ability to understand and follow instructions
- Ability to communicate effectively
- Ability to handle customer service duties
- Physical capability to perform job functions including lifting up to 100 pounds
- Ability to work overnight shifts
- Willingness to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Ability to maintain professionalism and friendly demeanor
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Must hold a valid driver’s license for the state you are applying to work, or within a commutable distance from the state you are applying to work (as applicable)
- One (1) month related experience and/or training
- OR equivalent combination of education and experience
- Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services
- Ability to read and write standard English language
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos
- Ability to write simple correspondence
- Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to guests, clients and other employees of the organization
- Ability to add and subtract three digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10’s and 100’s
- ability to perform these operations using units of American money
- Ability to understand 24 hour and military time systems
- Ability to understand rates applicable to time passed
- Ability to operate a manual transmission is highly desirable
- Perform parallel parking
Job Duties
- Maintains pleasant, friendly and professional demeanor with all guests, co-workers, and clients
- Acknowledges and greets guests within five feet with a professional and friendly demeanor
- Uses guest last names during interactions
- Uses salutation of the day and welcomes guests to the location
- Practices proper Towne Park phone etiquette
- Posts up in designated areas when not completing tasks
- Parks and retrieves vehicles while driving slowly and cautiously
- Assists guests with bell services and luggage storage as needed
- Opens all vehicle and hotel doors for guests
- Assists guests with directions, taxis, reservations and other inquiries
- Provides guests with information about outlets, meeting rooms and/or amenities of the facility as well as main attractions in the area
- Delivers messages, items and/or guest amenities as requested
- Shuttles guests to appropriate places that are approved by the location
- Explains parking rates and retrieval procedures to guests upon arrival
- Issues claim checks only after receiving vehicle keys and collects claim checks from all guests prior to issuing keys
- Consistently completes and maintains all ticket information including key tag, guest folio, location of vehicle, damage survey and claim check receipt from all vehicles taken into the valet system
- Consistently completes location on all key tags after parking vehicle
- Calculates and collects revenue for vehicles when needed
