Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • previous customer service experience preferred
  • strong communication skills
  • ability to stand and move throughout shift
  • able to lift at least 50 pounds
  • knowledge of hotel emergency procedures
  • basic cash handling capability
  • ability to work overnight shifts

Job Qualifications

  • Previous customer service experience is a plus
  • strong verbal and written communication skills
  • ability to read, write, type and use hotel communication devices
  • able to stand and move around for an entire shift
  • able to lift at least 50 pounds
  • previous security experience is a bonus but not required

Job Duties

  • Perform security walks throughout the hotel property and grounds, both inside and outside
  • know hotel emergency procedures and how to assist employees and guests when necessary
  • maintain key control procedures
  • ensure communication ability with the Front Desk is maintained at all times
  • ensure logs are filled out with detail
  • assist all guests with a warm, hospitable demeanor
  • support the goals of the hotel through teamwork and collaboration with all departments
  • assist with training, coaching and scheduling for the front office team
  • ensure all guests are served promptly and courteously during all shifts
  • apply problem solving skills to resolve guest issues to their satisfaction
  • handle continuous requests in a fast paced environment by coordinating with other departments to ensure all guest requests are met
  • ensure all front desk checklists and programs are followed and review daily work to confirm it is error-free
  • follow proper cash handling procedures and be able to post and reconcile charges applied to guest receipts
  • support the goals of the hotel through teamwork and collaboration with all departments
