The Guest Service Associate position at Towne Park offers an exciting opportunity for individuals passionate about hospitality and customer service. This role is primarily responsible for creating a positive first and last impression for guests by delivering exceptional hospitality services in a friendly, attentive, and efficient manner. Working overnight shifts from 11 pm to 7 am, the Guest Service Associate will contribute to smooth operations by parking and retrieving guest vehicles promptly and safely, assisting with luggage, and providing helpful information related to the location. Compensation for this position consists of an hourly base pay of $16 plus tips ranging from $4 to $8 per hour, reflecting the value of quality service and guest satisfaction.

The Guest Service Associate maintains a cheerful and professional demeanor while greeting guests warmly, often using their last names to personalize interactions. They will use appropriate phone etiquette and be stationed in designated positions when not attending to direct duties. This role involves driving duties requiring careful and cautious operation, including parking and retrieving vehicles and assisting guests by opening vehicle and hotel doors. Additionally, the Guest Service Associate assists guests with recommendations, directions, taxi arrangements, reservations, and transferring messages or guest amenities. The role requires knowledge of parking rates, claim check procedures, and the ability to manage ticket information accurately, including vehicle damage surveys and revenue collection when applicable.

Ideal candidates should possess a valid driver’s license, have at least one month of related work experience or training, and be capable of performing physical tasks such as lifting up to 100 pounds occasionally and working outdoors in varied weather conditions. The job demands excellent communication skills, the ability to read and write simple correspondence, and comfort with using 24-hour time systems and performing basic math with money. Operating a manual transmission vehicle and performing parallel parking are highly desirable skills. Job Qualifications

  • one (1) month related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services
  • ability to read and write standard English language
  • ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos
  • ability to write simple correspondence
  • ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to guests, clients and other employees of the organization
  • ability to add and subtract three digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10’s and 100’s
  • ability to perform these operations using units of American money
  • ability to understand 24 hour and military time systems
  • ability to understand rates applicable to time passed
  • ability to operate a manual transmission is highly desirable

Job Duties

  • maintains pleasant, friendly and professional demeanor with all guests, co-workers, and clients

  • practices proper Towne Park phone etiquette
  • posts up in designated areas when not completing tasks
  • parks and retrieves vehicles while driving slowly and cautiously
  • assists guests with bell services and luggage storage as needed
  • opens all vehicle and hotel doors for guests
  • assists guests with directions, taxis, reservations and other inquiries
  • provides guests with information about outlets, meeting rooms and/or amenities of the facility as well as main attractions in the area
  • delivers messages, items and/or guest amenities as requested
  • shuttles guests to appropriate places that are approved by the location
  • explains parking rates and retrieval procedures to guests upon arrival
  • issues claim checks only after receiving vehicle keys and collects claim checks from all guests prior to issuing keys
  • consistently completes and maintains all ticket information including key tag, guest folio, location of vehicle, damage survey and claim check receipt from all vehicles taken into the valet system
  • consistently completes location on all key tags after parking vehicle
  • calculates and collects revenue for vehicles when needed
