We are currently seeking a dedicated Full-Time Housekeeper to join our dynamic team. This role is pivotal in maintaining the hygienic conditions and overall presentation of guest rooms, dining utensils, kitchen, and storage areas to uphold the hotel’s commitment to quality service. The Housekeeper will be responsible for a variety of cleaning and maintenance tasks that range from disinfecting surfaces and rooms after guest departure to assisting with food preparation and ensuring compliance with sanitation regulations. This comprehensive role requires an individual who is highly organized, self-motivated, and capable of working efficiently under minimal supervision without compromising on cleanliness and safety standards.

The ideal candidate will have experience in the hospitality industry and demonstrate a solid understanding of chemical handling, sanitation regulations, and safety practices related to cleaning and waste disposal. Responsibilities will include a broad spectrum of duties such as dusting, polishing, vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, changing linens and towels, restocking room supplies, waste removal, and ensuring the cleanliness of all kitchen utensils and storage spaces. Additionally, the housekeeper will play a supportive role in food storage, rotation, and preparation, showcasing versatility in handling both cleaning and light kitchen duties.

We value individuals who possess excellent communication skills in English and preferably a second language such as Spanish, enabling effective interaction with guests, co-workers, and management. Physical stamina and dexterity are essential due to the role’s demands involving prolonged standing, lifting heavy items, bending, and reaching. Job Requirements

High school education or equivalent preferred
Previous experience within the hospitality industry preferred
Ability to communicate in English with guests, co-workers and management
Ability to work cohesively with co-workers as part of a team
Familiar with proper sanitation regulation
Knowledge of proper chemical handling
Ability to count
Ability to read and write legibly
Ability to communicate in a second language preferably Spanish
Have a high degree of self-motivation and the ability to work independently
Ability to work under pressure in a demanding environment
Bright and organized, detail oriented, confident and efficient person with great people skills and a can-do attitude
Must be able to apply common sense to carry out simple written or verbal instructions

Physical ability to perform tasks including standing and walking constantly

Job Duties

Cleaning and disinfecting surfaces and areas after each guest vacates a room
Dusting and polishing furniture, woodwork, light fixtures, and ceiling fans
Sweeping, vacuuming, mopping floors, and shampooing carpets when necessary
Organizing and restocking guest supplies such as soap, shampoo, lotion, coffee, tea, and stationery
Changing soiled linens and towels with clean replacements
Removing and disposing of waste from wastebaskets, ashtrays, and kitchen areas following health and safety regulations
Maintaining cleanliness of dining utensils using industrial dishwashers and hand polishing
Maintaining cleanliness of kitchen and storage areas including appliances and ensuring health and safety standards
Assisting with food storage, rotation, and preparation including salad making, grilling, garnishing, and seasoning dishes
